The UzeBox the coolest thing I’ve seen in a really really long time, a full tile-based gaming system built on a Atmega644 + AD725 (which does all the nasty colorburst stuff). Ive spent some time with the AD725 but at the time I was using an Atmega16 and didn’t get nearly as far - pretty much just colorbars :(

I’ve already ordered parts to build my own…The project is fully documented, open source hardware and firmware. Is this not the perfect kit or what?

This tetris game is probably at the very upper limit of what is possible using this core, but its really impressive considering there’s no graphics processor or video buffer!

I’ve never been into rocketry or space science but this space experimentation kit based on the MSP430 chipset (probably chosen for its ultra-low-power consumption) just looks awesome. Add a radio and whatever custom electronics you’d like and its ready to launch…

This vest uses a ‘nixie’-like numeric display system to show the speed of the cyclist. It seems that the builders used the hall effect sensor from a bikecomputer to calculate the RPMs on an Arduino and then turn that into MPH which is displayed using triacs (im kinda guessing here)

Compare to the SpokePOV kits hacked by MadOverload to display RPMs for a killer-bot!

This robot footstool is based of of the Parallax Propeller chip, and all the Spin code is available for download. I’m still not quite sure why Propellers are used for robotics but it seems popular.

Read more at Norris Labs, which is full of all sorts of robotic fun.

I don’t own a logic analyzer (does a 4-channel scope count?) but I’m quite tempted to build this $10 logic analyzer. Its essentially just a atmega16 and a 74hc04, good for up to 5mhz. I like the ‘04 substituting for a MAX232, its sneaky but I’ve done it myself & it does work just fine.

This page seems a little incomplete, but “Bricks” appears to be an Arduino shield that enables wide scale (sbee ad-hoc?) network to store and share sensor data. (From teknoartists Making Sense of Space)

CircuitPeople(tm) have a little website where you can upload Gerbers(tm) in a zip file for easy viewing. Kinda like gerbv but, y’know, web2.0(tm)
