I really need to keep closer tabs on what x0xb0x is doing on the internet. First it torrented some DiVXs from The Pirate Bay. Then it starting trolling craigslist and buying stuff on Amazon with my credit card. Now I find out x0xb0x even has a myspace page!

I blame m0me rath because hes got 4 of them and they probably needed a place to hang out!

In other news, I’m putting up a track in the x0xb0x ‘podcast’ nearly every other day! Check it out for the latest, soon I hope to have it automatically syndicated here.

andr00 is like a modern day Bob Ross here, giving you the viewer a front row seat at the grueling x0xb0x assembly process.

The real problem with all these ‘podcasts’ is that people are all ‘talking’ all the time.

Who wants to listen to people talk when instead you could be listening to x0xb0x’s cranking out bassline beats?

Its like post-cyber-retro action in here, with the new clear acrylic panels available for the x0xb0x. These are cut and etched using a 35W lasercutter for precision & good looks. New x0x orders can add this, older x0x users can grab a set for $30 from the adafruit webshop.

The silkscreened panels came in today, that means we’re doing run #5! Just in time for xmas…

Today, for your amusement, I present my very best impression of a valley girl engineer. Does anyone out there have a Final Cut Pro filter to cut out the audio every time I say “like” “so” and “umm”? kthxbye!

Also, Israeli Minty! Ironically if I actually showed up in Tel Aviv with one of these I’d probably get shot cause it looks like a detonator. Whee!

Also, latest firmware is v1.04 (2/6/06), up on sourceforge, with many many bugs fixed and new functionality!

• a very bad off-by-one-note error in midisync mode
• pattern edit mode sends out midi start/stop
• fixed misplaced slide bug in pattern stepwrite mode
• fixed extra-note in track play mode bug
• fixed one note delay in midisync
• added ’slide’ output on midi

For the new year, I stayed at home & organized all the x0xb0x stuff for the third run.
